Eravikulam is known for sheltering endangered species and rare creatures such as rare butterflies, Nigeria Tahr and other birds and animals. The park looks at its best when the surrounding hill slopes get covered with Neelakurinji flowers. Then it seems like a blue carpet spread over the slopes. This is also a great place for adventure lovers who can take part in activities such as trekking and mountain biking.
